A question we get asked regularly is what else there is to local to our Aglaea Studio - so we’ve created a guide so that you can make a day out of your next permanent jewellery visit.
South Melbourne Market
With lots of diverse food options on show, the South Melbourne market is not only a great place to get lunch but also shop. We recommend heading to Aptus Seafood for some freshly shucked oysters. They also sell sashimi-grade tuna and ready-to-eat cooked crayfish. If seafood isn’t your vibe, there are beautiful passitures, Vietnamese bakeries, delicatessens and cafes, plenty of options and always super fresh - exactly what keeps us going back.

Royal Botanical Gardens
Just a 10-minute drive from us, the Royal Botanical Gardens is the perfect location for a walk or a picnic. May we add it also is so pretty and perfect for taking photos. The recent Melbourne weather is absolute heaven for an inner-city picnic date, keep it at the top of your list of things to do this summer.
Golden Fleece Hotel
We are sure you would’ve seen the Golden Fleece Hotel on Instagram. The Santorini inspired restaurant/bar is just around the corner from us - you will probably spot it when driving here. The menu is to die for, Mediterranean-inspired with a large selection of tapas and cocktails. The rooftop gets our tick of approval for aesthetics. There are not many places in Melbourne like the Golden Fleece, we would definitely recommend making the visit.

Take a visit to the city
For those who would rather take public transport to us, we suggest visiting the CBD for the day. A dream city day for us would be shopping at Emporium, lunch on Lygon St and a visit to the NGV. To get to us from the heart of the CBD, take the 109 Port Melbourne tram from Melbourne Town Hall, it’s only a 13-minute journey!
